It totally depends on the technology we are using. For different technologies prices are different. Then the prices are also influenced by the use of add-ons like trackers, string monitoring systems, advanced scada systems etc. These days new technologies (especially in thin film) are coming up in the market but there prices are much lower then what it used to be in the year 2009-10.
Land requirement is a direct function of efficiency. If efficiency is less, land requirement is more. Hence, in Polycrystalline, 1 MW will require 4-5 acres of land while a-si will require not less then 8 acres of land.
Generation depends on the solar radiation intensity on a region. This influences the effective sun shine hours in a day. As a benchmark, in states of Rajasthan 1 MW produces nothing less then 1.65 Million units. For different technology, this generation differs.
